T-Time!

Anytime is a good time to go to the temple! I LOVE the Portland temple. There are not many temples like it. One of the many reasons I love it. :) Sometimes it's hard to schedule a time to go and do work in the temple so I just go there and take in the beauty, the spirit, and just love life! I am so blessed!

Here's the back side of the temple. :)

Gobble 'til You Wobble!

For Thanksgiving I went to lunch with my Mom's side of the family and later went to dinner at the Moseley's house but here are a few photo's from the adventure out to eat with the triplets! :) I love them so much!

Cute little Cailyn eating chicken!
Aubrey happy as ever with an ice cream cone!
Brooke cheesin' is up for the camera!
Daddy(Garrison) and his little girls!
Nate, Jaycee, and Grandpa!
Mom, me, and Tifany!
I just thought this photo was funny! (Brooke, Cailyn, Aubrey) Their faces are hilarious!
Baylee(the Moseley's dog) LOVES laying in front of the heater to warm her face. My face would be on fire! Haha.

I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving! :)

They're ALIVE!

Yep! We're alive aright. :) My friend Bradley and I got to be Mary and Joseph at a live nativity at our church! It was so fun doing it. Brad got a little antsy sitting there and there weren't many visitors for our 4pm-6pm shift but it was still really cool! Here are a few photo's:

When we were getting dressed in these outfits is was HILARIOUS! I'm five feet tall and Bradley is six feet seven inches(I'm sitting in a normal size folding chair and he's sitting in the primary size folding chair so it we would look a little more "normal")! The lady making the costumes knew that and so she tried to make them accordingly but also trying to consider the fact that there were many "Mary and Joseph's". My outfit was pretty long and Bradley's had so many parts to it! It was very entertaining to watch him "try" to figure it out without any help. Haha. And boy oh boy were these costumes hot!!! I'm basically wearing a curtain. It was super thick fabric and Bradley has a lot of layers on.

Have you ever been to a live nativity? Where?

Caught In The Middle!

A few week ago I was invited at the last minute to go to the OSU/BYU game down in Corvallis with Brad Erbe and his family. I've never been to a college football game so it was super exciting and very fun! I am both an OSU and a BYU fan so either way it was a win win for me. My only dilemma was I wasn't sure if I should wear my Beaver gear or my BYU gear. I figured since I was going to be at Reser Stadium in Corvallis I HAD to wear my Beaver gear. What's funny is that most of the time I was cheering to BYU. Haha. Oops! Oh well.
I got to the Erbe's around 8am and then we left their house a little after and we headed down to Beaver Nation! Even though I was very tired I was super stoked. We walked around downtown Corvallis and finally made our way to Reser Stadium. We were third row and had so much fun! We even got to see Jimmer from the BYU basketball team and LaVell Edwards, the old BYU football coach.
I think we were in section 12 or 13.
Oregon St!
BYU!
JIMMER! In the white shirt.
The nuns. Lol. In the picture I accidentially got my two friends Calli and Tyler. I knew they were at the game but I didn't know where. Haha! Awesome!
Jake, Julianne, Me, and Brad. The four of us got to sit together while the rest of the family were scattered throughout the stadium. :)
Final score. The Beavs lost but that's okay because BYU won!
LeVell Edwards on the field after the game!
A pretty tree I got a picture of just before leaving Corvallis!

Lady Chestnut (LC)

This post is a little(long) over due but I GOT  A CAR! About time, right? Right! I got her in September and she's been treating me pretty well. I named her Lady Chestnut or LC for short. Her tail lights got tired and decided to die so I had to get her some new ones but other then that she's a keeper and she gets me to where I need to go! Thanks LC!

She cost me a pretty penny. ;) I bought her from a family friend that is a mechanic which made my decision really easy when it came to pay for her!

Highlights From The Komp Reunion!

I know I already posted about the Komp family reunion but I forgot a few yummy/cute things... We had to stay in two different rooms at the resort because there were  nine of us and each rooms sleeps six at the most. So, we would eat breakfast and lunch on our own time and have a family dinner each night. This night we had an asian salad and boy was it DELICIOUS!
This was my plate. HUGE,  right?! Well, you'll be surprised to know how much I ate. I shocked myself but I was starving and this was amazingly delicious.
LOOK at the work I did! I didn't even feel grossly full either. YUMMY! I think I'm drooling just typing about it.

Also, Bri and I weren't able to stay the entire seven days because she had a hair apt and I had to get back to work. While we were there Bri bought SIXTY dollars worth of salt water taffy to bring back to her friends and family in Vegas. We had so much we wanted to leave a cute little message for her parents for whenever they left the room. :)
She's sorting through all sixty dollars.
We left them a little heart!
They loved it! A cute way of showing our love. :)

ABC Craft!

So, you probably know I have triplet nieces... I talk about them a lot! Well, when my sister was still prego she bought each of them the first letter of their name. Aubrey, Brooke, and Cailyn. So, it was an A, B, and C. I wanted to spruce them up a bit because they were boring, sad, and just white! If you know my sister you know that she is extremely "matchy" with colors and each of the girls has their "own color". Aubrey is purple, Brooke is blue-turquoise, and Cailyn is pink. My friend Lizzie did this same craft with the letter of her and her hubby's last name so I copied her. :) THANKS LIZZIE!
First, I went to Michael's and picked out the color of paper I needed.
I also needed glue that I mixed with water and paper towels because it's easy to get messy.
First, I ripper up little pieces of paper and put them on the water-glue mixture and then pasted them on!
It was super fun, cheap, and totally cute. They're now hanging above each of their cribs. :)

AAOT!!!

Happy Friday everyone! :) Today I decided to go up to MHCC and take my placement tests if I was planning on going there for fall term and so I walked in and they told me since I had my transcripts sent there with the classes I've already taken I don't need to take the tests! Yay! Then, I went to go meet with an academic adviser and he we were going through my transcripts and he said I only needed three classes that were my pre and co requisites for the surgical technology program! Another yay! Then I was asking him since I'll have more time on my hands how far am I from earning my AAOT and he said like two or three classes. Wahoo! But he said I should consider just going back to CCC to finish it up because that might make things a bit easier. So, after he said that I decided I needed to go there to talk to an academic adviser there. I made my way from Gresham to Oregon City and talked to a lady there and we figured out that I needed four or five classes and I would get my AAOT. This is so exciting... All this time I thought I wasn't really working towards anything and not I can almost touch it with my fingertips. So, I have about two terms at MHCC and then I'll get my AAOT and take it anywhere I want. I'm almost grad-u-ma-cated! ;)

Fam Damily Reunion (Komp's)

I have many families away from my own blood family. The Komp family being on of them! Gregg, Bri's dad, baptized me. :) They invited me to go with them on their family reunion when Bri came home. I couldn't decline! And it was at Seaside and the beach/Oregon Coast NEVER gets old. It's so serene and calming to my soul. We had so much fun. Nothing like being with family for 5 days straight! Here are a few pics from our adventure!...
One of the kites we flew on the beach.
Gregg and Ayla watching/flying the kite.
Bri and Arie hanging out at the beach.
The resort we stayed at... It's the one right on the beach walk on Broadway.
Jordan throwing Arie in the pool. She had NO fear of the water.
Arie just floatin' in the hot tub. She loved it until she got kicked out. :(
Me, Jul, Bri, and Jordan with the "earrings" made out of pipe cleaners. Lol.
That's SIXTY dollars worth of salt water taffy. Yikes!
One of the sunsets... This NEVER gets old!
Bocce ball!
Some of the Komp fam!
We went to a photo booth and it was SO fun taking turns running in and out between each pic. :)

UPDATE- 101 Thing To Do In 1001 Days!

Back in February I start this thing that my friend Lizzie showed me. Try to accomplish 101 goals(big or small) in 1001 days. I haven't been too committed in doing it but I still have done quite a few! Here's the list of the things I've done thus far...

3- Continue to read the scriptures everyday... I made this goal a long time ago and have stuck to it! The day just isn't the same without reading the good word. :)

4- Magnify calling... I've tried really hard to do the best that I can to magnify my calling as a FHE small group leader. But most importantly I have to help fellowship and invite less actives. Bishop has told me that I have the highest attendance at my FHE's!! We are the Red group.

5- Buy a mini black triple combination and get my name embossed on it... I actually did this while I was in Rexburg going to school. I love them because they much more light weight then my standard size quad. I just need to get a mini bible to go with my triple combo because he gets kind of lonely sometimes. ;)

7- Make a list of the temples I've been to... Here they are- Portland, Oregon. Seattle, Washington. Salt Lake City, Utah. Provo, Utah. Oquirrh Mountain, Utah. Mount Timpanogos, Utah. River Jordan, Utah. Rexburg, Idaho. Cardston, Alberta, Canada. Kona, Hawaii. Idaho Falls, Idaho. Boise, Idaho. And Las Vegas, Nevada. I love the temple!

8- Memorize all Articles of Faith... This was actually an assignment in my religion class that I took winter semester. Sometimes I was annoyed by it but I'm so glad that I did it!

14- Go to the Kimball building and figure out my spring semester financial aid... I did this but I don't plan on going back to BYU-I so it doesn't really apply. :)

18- Start studying in the library... I actually did this when I was at school for winter semester and it REALLY helped. I got stuff done much faster and it was also fun to people watch. ;)

20- Volunteer to say opening prayer in class at least two times each semester... I did more then two times when I was on campus winter semester! Hooray for stretching myself!

29- Work on getting eight hours of sleep for two weeks straight... I've actually been doing really good at this! It's a miracle because I usually never go to bed early.

35- Save money for car... I've actually been saving money for a car since I got home from school. :) I'm planning on getting one soon!

36- Pre-plan for fun FHE's... Since I'm an FHE group leader I have to plan for them and since I've had this calling I feel like I've been planning fun ones!

42- Make a quote wall... I did this when I was at school and it was HILARIOUS... Here's a pic.
44- Make a scripture box for my mini's... I made one while I was at school and it's super cute. I LOVE it!

55- Colors festival in Utah- March 26... I went to this. I actually have a post about it. It was super fun and I would love to do it again. Here's another pic.
68- Try a new cookie... I recently made some pumpkin chocolate chip! They are DELICIOUS! All you need is: one box of yellow cake mix, one box of spice cake mix, one can of pumpkin puree, and one bag of chocolate chips. Yep, that's it! DON'T ADD ANYTHING ELSE!

72- No frozen food for a month... I haven't eaten frozen for way longer then a month! I usually don't eat frozen food ever but every now and then. I don't even like it so I don't know why I eat it occasionally. Lol.

75- Buy gum... I bought some. My favorite gum is Trident, minty sweet twist!

77- Support church activities... I've been pretty good about this. Sometimes it's hard to get myself to go to some activities but I force myself to go no matter what... Except dances. ;)

78- Be more willing to pray publicly... I have a new policy: If I'm asked I have to accept.

80- Look up potential hair ideas- cut & color... I did this in April and got my hair done my Luci. It was a bit of a shock because I cut a lot off and added blonde... Here's a pic of my getting it colored...

81- Make a resume... It's being finished this week! Yay. Lol. Actually, Becca is doing it for me but it's getting done none the less.

82- Transfer stuff from my old laptop to my new one... Did this in Idaho also. I had a ton of pics to be transferred.

84- Take pics when I do fun things... I think everyone knows I have been doing this one pretty well. Haha. I think my friends are sick of getting their picture taken. Haha. Oh well. :) Here we are on top of the Stratosphere. Kind of blurry but it was awesome!

86- Clean bedroom window with bleach... This sounds gross but my bedroom window at school got moldy because it was so warm inside and so FREEZING outside that it would gross. Here's a funny pic of my blow drying my window because it got frozen open! Notice: you can see the bleach I used to clean the window...

87- Paint toe nails... I'm always painting my toes. They have to be cute! :)

WOW! I did so many more then I thought I did! Woohoo. Go me. Lol. Well, now that I've completed at least 24 of my goals I need to get working on all the other 77. Thank goodness I have some time. :)
