You're Such A "Tease"...

I've been getting into blogging more lately since I have a little bit more time on my hands since I moved to Utah. I've been following this girl who posts lots of hair and make up tutorials and she recently posted one on how to tease your hair. I was bored a few days ago and so I tried it. I really like what I came up with. :) Please forgive me for the awkward mirror pictures.

The first one reminds of of a "hippie" hair style with the braids but I like it and I thought it was cute.

The second style was one I saw on a tutorial. It's just a really simple bun!

Dinoville!

I'm am blessed enough to have built relationships with all four of the sister missionaries that have taught me. I'm living with one right now in Utah. It gets even better... All of them live in Utah! I've been here for just over a week and Christal and Becca convinced me to drive to Vernal/eastern Utah to visit Christal. She moved to the middle of nowhere because of a great job opportunity! It's about a three hour drive from Provo but Becca and I made it in just over two. ;) It was a beautiful drive both there and back. I wasn't sure what to think of this weekend trip but I was sure glad that we did it! Who would've thought that you can have fun in the middle of nowhere?! Haha. I'm only kidding. Here are some pictures from our many adventures...

The Vernal temple use to be the Vernal Tabernacle that was built in 1907... It was dedicated at a temple in 1997!

Vernal is well known for all the dinosaur excavating!

Colorado wasn't far from Vernal so we took a little drive out there!
Here we are all touching a dino fossil at the quarry.
Yes, I'm "hugging" a dino fossil!

Nail Art + Valentine's Day Fun

For the past almost two years, with the exception of my four months at BYUi, I haven't been allowed to wear anything on my nails... not even clear nail polish. Why you ask? Simply because I was working at Jamba Juice. We're not allowed to wear anything on our nails or have fake nails or even long nails. It makes complete sense but it was just kind of a bummer when I did have desire to have cute finger nails- which was very seldom anyway. So, once I got here to Utah I've a little extra time on my hands, haha. For Valentines day I decided to get myself a gift... I got these really cool full nail decals! They're awesome, cheap, and not too difficult to put on.

They're kind of crazy/wild but they're way fun and I can just take them off whenever I was without polish remover which stinks anyway! :)

For Valentine's Day Jamie got me a very yummy treat!

A very yummy heart shaped doughnut! :) She hates Valentine's Day so I feel very special to have received this gift! Thanks, J!

This is a video that my friend Analee is in. It's hilarious and really cute. She's the girl in it...

PDX Fo Eva!

I leave for Utah at 5am tomorrow... That's only 6.5 hours away and I'm writing a blog post. Why you ask? Because I'm nuts and I'm just putting off my homework. I have one more assignment for my world religions class that I don't want to do but I need to.
I'm an Oregon girl now and forever! I love it here but I must say that Utah is where I need to be right now. And in less then 24 hours that's where I'll be!

Rice Sock(bag)

Last winter when I was at school in Idaho there were a few times i had to borrow my roommate "rice sock" because I wasn't feeling well.  So, I decided I wanted to make one! I bought the fabric and the rice but I haven't gotten around to it until yesterday! They are SO easy to make, cheap, and very useful!

First I got out my trusty old woman of a sewing machine out! She's so good to me!

Then, I got out my TOTALLY random fabric!

I cut out what size I wanted...

Then, I ironed it...

I filled them with rice and then put a closing zigzag seam on it!
I made three different ones with the amount of rice I bought. I'm not keeping them all. My sister took the one on the right and my nephew gets the one on the left. I guess I get the weird looking one in the middle. :) That's okay because I like it's weirdness.

What are your 2012 goals?

It's the Holiday Season... With the Whoop-de-do and Hickory Dock!

Is it 2012 already?! Wow. Time really does fly the older you get. ;)  But really, it does! I really loved this last Christmas season. I think I finally got to enjoy one because I wasn't working at Fred Meyer. That job made me deal with a lot of "humbug's" and that's no fun! Some of my favorite people came home for Christmas and that was so exciting to see them. Like these lovely ladies down here...
The four of us went and had a late lunch with Jackie. And Crystal brought Colten along. I think I made more of a mess then he did. Lol.Lizzie announced that she was prego! SO EXCITING! AH! :D Then there's Bri and I... still single. Bahaha. ;)

I got to go to my Dad's side of the family and have a Christmas dinner over there... That was interesting... Probably because there was a lot of alcohol involved... Oooooh, I love my family.
In a clockwise circle starting with me, Julie(Dad's GF), Cassie(Dustin's GF), Dustin(cousin), Teressa(Aunt), Jessicah(cousin)

I got to go to church on Christmas day this year because it was on a Sunday. We only had an hour long meeting though which was kind of strange. :) Before church I went over to my older sister, Tifany's house and we had breakfast as a family.
Grandpa Hauskins(Mom's Dad) and his 3 granddaughter!
Mom trying to keep all the girls happy! (Aubrey, Cailyn, and Brooke)

After all the festivities it was back to reality! But that's okay because 2012 came soon after. I surprised myself this year by going to the regional YSA dance. WHAT?! I know, right? My friend Brad convinced me to go and promised me I wouldn't have to dance if I went. I thought that sounded like a great idea! It was fun! Here's to a new year filled with things I never thought I would do or accomplish! :)
