"Your Future Is As Bright As Your Faith"

I went down to Utah again this last weekend because I got tickets for General Conference from Lizzie's Dad back in Oregon. Per usual, it was amazing. This Conference really focused on service, marriage, and more than usual death. I actually heard many great things about priesthood session as well! I'm very excited to read it in the Conference issue of the Ensign. They announced three new temples, one in Idaho, Colorado, and Canada! I really want to go through an open house of one. I know there are a few being built in Utah right now! In fact I think during conference they said that there were 21ish temples in the process of being built. That's AMAZING! :)
The conference center is so huge and somehow I forget how big it is every time I go back. It also reminds me of the BYU-I center but bigger. I've been lucky enough to go to conference like four or five times now. Most people don't even get to go once in their lifetime. How grateful I am!

COLORS!

For a fun weekend, Miriam and I went down to Provo to visit friends and attend the Colors Festival in Spanish Fork which is just south of Provo. The Colors festival is at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple. Here's a picture of it-
Basically, you go prepared to get filthy, if you want to have fun of course! You go and throw chalk in the air... My friends chose to throw it in your face and all over your body. Which of course makes in a million times more FUN! We actually couldn't get any before pictures because people threw chalk on us before we got the chance but we were all wearing clean clothes... and then...
Back Row- Ben, Nate, Missy, Nate, Kenna, Jess. Front Row- Miriam, Becca, Me!
This was the group of us that went together.. But we saw many familiar faces from school and home!

A few different phases I went through in the "chalking process". My face was many different colors this day.
This was right after the "official" throwing of the chalk.

Becca in a cool action shot. Haha.
 SO MUCH CHALK!
Right before we dusted off.

Updo Day!

So, my roommate Gaby is getting married during our spring break and for fun we decided to go to one of the beauty schools over here and get get an updo! It was way fun and totally random and everyone kept asking us why we were getting our hair done and we said- Just cuz! It kept us busy for just 10 bucks! Cheap and fun. :)

Silly pose! :)

Bodies... The Exhibition!

In my Anatomy & Physiology class we were invited and recommended to be "tour guides" at the traveling exhibit called Bodies which is now in Idaho Falls, just 30 minutes away from Rexburg. It's an amazing exhibit that has dissected bodies and body parts showing almost all the systems of the body. These bodies took at least a year each to prepare for this exhibit and are absolutely amazing! I get to volunteer for 4 hour shifts and answer questions that the guests that come to the museum have. I've only done one shift so far but it's a blasty blast! I could seriously live there and be totally okay with it.
What's really cool about this is the fact that it was in Portland a few years ago and I got to see it there and now I'm volunteering at it. It's amazing the opportunities that arise by being in the right place at the right time. :)
This is Christine and I- She's in my A&P class and we have become study buddies!
The Coats were so big on us. My arm looks so huge! Lol. We look so official. Love it!

Sleepy Folk. -_-

So, thanks to my good ol' friends Erika and Emma I've gotten in the habit of taking pictures of people who fall asleep in places that aren't deemed normal... AKA- if you're not in your bed and you fall asleep I have every right to take a picture of you! :) Here are a few of my most recent findings! Love this little continuous treasure hunt.
 Sleepy boy in the library.
 Sleepy Miriam on her birthday!
 Sleepy girl in psych class.
 Sleepy Lindsey on the couch.
 Sleepy Sam during Devo.
 Sleepy Christal at Camille's house.
Sleepy Big Red- she fell asleep with the pen in her hand!
Sleepy Sam at Devo.- 2nd week in a row!

For now, this is all folks! Haha. Keep 'em coming. PLEASE you make my day. :)

Pond Skimming!

For those of you who don't know what pond skimming is... This video is actually from the event I went to.
Keep in mind that it's absolutely FREEZING out and these stunts are ridiculous but way fun to watch. AND they dress up in costumes, it's almost like Halloween. Haha. You just need to dress warm when you go and maybe bring hot chocolate. My friends from back home in Oregon were actually involved in it. Sam and Carson. Here are a few of the pics I tried to get from their runs. Overall- fun time!
That's Sam at the top- he was dressed at Tigger, from Winnie the Pooh.
This is his splash. Lol. I took the picture too late.
Here's Carson at the top. He was dressed at a banana- sadly he wasn't the only one.
He biffed it right before he took off into the water and ended up mooning half the people there(me included) but it was fun to watch. Haha.

Temple Square Visit!

Over Presidents Day weekend we had a 4 day weekend so Miriam and I decided it was wise to go down to Utah and hang out for a few days. We always have a lot of random fun down there so we always look forward to it. Our first stop was temple square and it was our lucky day because it was gorgeous out! A little windy, but gorgeous!
This is the reflection of the temple.
Isn't it just so beautiful?!
Miriam and I had lots of fun taking jumping pictures and random pictures around temple square. Love it there.
By the Joseph and Emma Smith statue.
It was SO windy that my hair is all over my face. Ah!
 Ring around the rosie!
 Temple Doors.
This was the first time I went to the Beehive House. We got a tour from some sister missionaries from Japan and France. They were so sweet.
We ran into this beautiful couple that had just gotten sealed. We actually ran into their reception at the Joseph Smith building too. Lol. Oops! We think one of them is from Oregon because their engagement pictures that we outside the reception hall we taken at Canon Beach. Awesome!
Just another cool picture. :)
